MRI Spinal Anatomy, Protocols and Disc Pathology, Normal anatomy of axial and sagittal views utilizing T1, T2, gradient and STIR sequences of imaging. Degeneration and annular fissuers of discs in both trauma and non-trauma patients and the biochemical properties of joints in age dating pathology. Disc bulges from degenerative and sequalla to osseous issues, herniation pathology and protrusion, extrusion, migrated and sequestered variations. Chiropractic Management of Lumbar Disc Derangements, An extensive review of detailed anatomical and neurophysiological functions of the intervertebral disc and surrounding structures in the human lumbar spine. Categories of disc pathology in both the acute and chronic spine pain patient along with etiological mechanisms of both traumatically induced and degenerative disc disease were presented. Specific clinical presentations and their associated neurological and orthopedic examination findings were reviewed and presented. Physical examination procedures were outlined and reviewed pertaining to the diagnosis and triage of spine patients with an emphasis on clinical correlation of physical examination findings and MRI studies. Evidence based protocols with attention to patient centered care were presented, discussed and reviewed with a focus on conservative treatment strategies and proper pain management/surgical procedures.
